Anika Noni Rose is an American actress and performer. She's best known for portraying Tiana the very first African American Princess in The Princess and the Frog. Disney Legends featured her as one in 2011. Rose is best known for her part as Lorrell Robinson in Dreamgirls. Anika Noni (born September 6th in 1972) is a singer and American actress. The most famous role she has played is as Tiana the Disney's first African American princess from The Princess and the Frog (2009). Disney Legends named her as the 2011's most popular character. Her other notable roles include her starring role as Lorrell Robinson in the Academy Award-winning Film Dreamgirls (2006) and also for being the character her character LaVerne JUKEBOX Ganner on the Starz show Power.
